Thoughts for 11/13/17

Leadership is reality for some people. Leadership is a job for some people. Leadership is a title for some people. However true leadership is something very unique and something very much needed. Social media has really put a damper and dust on what leadership is. Leadership is putting out a perfect daily look at your life. Leadership isn't a position. Leadership is from the heart, and leadership is putting others peoples needs first in almost all situations. It doesn't mean they are right or they lead, however even if it is extremely difficult for a leader to do xyz, if that is the best for the people they are leading, that is what they do. And the do this every time. That type of dedication is a challenge and a stretch for humans. We are still just people and we have short comings and we aren't perfect. In fact most things to do greatly and in more particular to do consistently for long periods of times, year, decades or more we have to rely on the strength of our Savior, Jesus Christ. There are so many times we all try to do it on our own, even those super Christians you know who you think never get it wrong. They get it wrong and start carrying that strength in their own strength and that consistency a lot of times gets broken when handled on our own. I am intending to rely on His strength more and more, it will put the word smooth more in describing my life. He can make the ups and downs more gentle, you know hills and valleys are pretty and able to be crossed through at many different paces, mountains and deep oceans aren't as easy to cross and as you get closer, their ruggedness can be overwhelming.
